Took my discordway with my rit into HM Riven Earth and HM Dalada Uplands, zero death, and I dont even need a single pve skill. Didn't even need to use Feast of Souls. Rit was steam rolling through the charrs like they are nothing.

With the superb healing and damage, I predict Rits would be the most popular class when it comes to partying. Too bad heroes dont spam SoS, so you would have to micro it with heroes.

A Restore Rit hero with low investment in Channeling might be able to spam it. I don't know how long a level 1-2 spirit lasts before it dies. I might just test this out later.

Im using this now:

Summon Spirits
Painful Bond
Signet of Spirits
Pain
Vampirism
Bloodsong
[Optional]
Boon of Creation

Only annoying thing is sometimes the spirits from Signet of Spirits just sit there.. usually just 1 of the 3.

The thing is if you rely entirely on Boon for energy your screwed when it gets strpped. At the end of the day, the 3 Spawning enchantments are not particularly fast to cast and have long recharges. Coupled with the Rit having no useful cover enchantment its not unlikely.

I may be wrong on this but I think P/Rt will pack more offense with Signet of Spirits than a Ritualist with their tirade of chants and shouts to buff those spirits and party members alike.

Spirit Siphon Spirit Siphon: functionality changed to: "The spirit nearest you loses all Energy. You gain 15...43...50% of that Energy."
Thats a good E-management if you position yourself well when using it. Ofc doesnt heal you like boon of creation but you can get lots of energy if you have that elite and 1-2 more spirits.

I like spirit siphon, because you can get the energy when really needed.

EDIT: Those spirits from SoS are a bit dim indeed....even more so then others

No offense but if you wanna run a spawning power summoner you might as well go fully 12 in death magic and drop channeling, 12-12 spread with Aura of the lich as elite and a 40/40 set.
The signet is a weak elite, the main problem is in its attribute

Honestly the only way I'd see spirits becoming viable again is if they increased their hp a bit more (even with the buff they are still patethic) and reduce the health loss for usage and if union/displacement/shelter affected spirits as well.
In that case you'd use armor of unfeeling and have a nearly viable party protection (still inferior to a paragon). Passive gameplay ftw.

Well you know , you can always complain if you want to but they have buff spirit LEVEL ( wich affects armor and HP fyi ) and ofc that 4% HP extra per SP lvl is very good. Check Agony ( at 10 SP ) , running on a Rit Lord Master elite would be like 440 armor ignoring damage every 15 sec ? ....just with 2 skills pal.

Instead of looking skills 1 by 1 , see them in context and check new builds that this update brings to primary rits. They were viable but not OVERPOWERED or gimmick ( like seems that any1 like the things nowadays ) and now are more powerful. For god sake even the severe casting time reduction rox !

On the Energy Management side of things, given Signet of Spirits is an Elite which means Offering of Spirit would have to be dropped from many Ritualist builds in order to use it we shouldn't underestimate Spirit Siphon.

Signet of Spirits has a 10 second recharge, you can use Spirit Siphon to great effect three times in any 10 second perior if you so wish, since you can just keep re-casting Signet of Spirits.

Signet of Spirits + Feast of Souls would be like a Supercharged Spirit of Life going off every 10 seconds with the correct array of attributes, then with Spirit Siphon I don't see why energy would ever be a problem.

I see the context, they still suck. What are 200hp more going to do? The spirit will last 3 attacks more wich in hard mode equals roughly to 1-2 seconds, after that you might go AFK while your party members do the killing.

Boon of Creation + SoS = 15-18 energy every 10 seconds. Plus all the other spirits (and sin support etc) give energy too = plenty of energy management. Can't get under max energy if I wanted to (enchant removal ftl though).

And what exactly do you need all that energy for if you go 10 spawning and most of your skills are either enchantments or spirits?

Try this, it's fun. Bar as follows:

[Painful Bond][Signet of Spirits][Pain][Bloodsong][Anguish][Armor of Unfeeling][Summon Spirits][Boon of Creation]

Cast Boon of Creation and keep it up. Cast all spirits outside of the elite first, example...Anguish, Bloodsong and Pain. Then cast the elite to bring you back to full energy. Cast Painful bond onto foes and laugh.

Use Summon Spirits to move them around and heal them for nearly 100hp with a good Alliance rating..

Use the newly buffed [Armor of Unfeeling] to give your spirits a 50% damage reduction and immunity to critical hits. This skill can now be kept up with a lowish level in Spawning power.

It's so fun with a full party!

A rit hero on her own wont spam SoS because their AI is too dumb. As long as the 3 spirits are still alive they wont cast SoS again so they usually wait for the full 60s. You need to micro it if you want the benefit from explosive growth, boon, spirit's gift.

Yes I am aware of the energy management from boon, you can always use a cover enchant unless the pve monster carries a deep enchant removal (which is rare).
